Finding time to catch up on your favorite TV shows can be hassle especially when you have a very busy schedule. Here I’m sharing 5 tips that can help you create time to watch the TV shows you love, even as a busy bee
Most of us watch tv shows or at least we used to until life started happening and got super busy.
One of our readers requested for this post on how to find time out of no time to watch tv shows. This was after he read my other post about choosing the right tv show for you.
After experimenting with different methods for this past month. I have come up with these few tips.
5 Ways You Can Find Time to Watch Shows Even When You are Super Busy.
1. Watch a Show While You Have a Meal
There are some people who actually can’t eat if they don’t have something to watch. This method is good especially after a long day at work and you want to attack a nice dinner.
While you’re getting your food ready, make sure you have decided on the tv show you want to watch. Just so your food doesn’t get cold while you decide. I usually turn on the episode and let it start loading.
Depending on how long you have to spare you can watch a show that has a duration of 20 to 50 minutes. Most people would not disturb you if they see you eating, so eat slowly and enjoy your show.
2. Multi-task With It

This is for high-functioning multi-taskers. I’ll just tell you some of the activities I multi-task with while watching series.
When I’m doing anything with my hair like detangling, braiding, twisting it or loosening it (natural hair life). If you’re ironing a lot of clothes or washing a lot of dishes and can find a good position to put whatever device you watch shows on then you can do that.
While using the Cycling machine or elliptical or stairs master and you’re going at a slow or moderate speed you can probably watch a show while on that. You can get creative I find more things to multi-task with these are just the ones I have tried.
3. Use it As A Reward for Being Productive:

Adulting is tough which is why I like to reward myself after being productive.
How does it work? Let’s say you have 2 reports due in 4 days but because you are a bad ass. You finish them in 2 days!
Guess who deserves to binge watch a few shows? You do! This let’s you indulge in your series watching guilt-free and you feel like you earned it.
4. Squeeze in a show when you are finding it hard to sleep
I find it difficult to fall asleep some nights and rather than having your mind noisy with thoughts. Just watch a not so interesting show that you know you can easily fall asleep to.
If you have no self-control and would binge watch any show as soon as you start, this is not for you then. I repeat, this is not for you.
Going to work or school tired as hell, because you spent the whole night watching shows is not worth it. Spend all night on more productive things like fornication (just joking)
5. Download Shows on your handheld device to have easy access always
I am yet to do this because I’m a lazy downloader. But I find that having shows on your phone or tablet make it more accessible to bring out and watch at any point.
Stuck in traffic? Watch some shows. Waiting for someone that is running late? Watch some shows. Using public transport and you’re not in dodgy ends? Watch some shows. Working at a job where you pretty much do nothing all day? Watch some shows!
” Personally, balancing work, life and blogging has not left me much time to do two things I love doing, watching a lot of shows and procrastinating.”
Change your mindset towards being in touch with your shows:
There was a time when it was almost impossible for one of my favorite shows to have a new episode out and I would go longer than a few days without watching.
But I hated how I always got F.O.M.O (fear of missing out) or stumbled across spoilers on social media. I decided I can’t let one of my favorite past times feel like a task or like a race I can’t keep up with. Which is why I now watch it at my own pace and at my own time. Spoilers can never really kill the real deal, only video spoilers are really annoying so always avoid that when you can.
Yes, you may not be able to keep up with the gist. Or join in on conversations about the shows because you are so behind. But on the bright side, at least you know what to expect.
This has helped me not feel rushed or pressured into watching shows when I really don’t have the time. So when I eventually do get time, I’m able to enjoy it a lot more!
I hope you would be able to find one or more of these tips helpful. Let me know which ones helped. If you have some new ways, PLEASE let me know as well! Be sure to hang around to read another post, or better still scroll down to subscribe.
Till next time,
